\"Untitled1\"<\/a>On April 10, 2015, at about 7:30 pm Christians True Spirit\u00a0(CTS) was informed through sources that a young\u00a0Christian youth named Nauman Masih aged 13, was\u00a0severely beaten and burnt by unknown while going to the\u00a0Market. Nauman was 55% burnt when he was taken to the\u00a0Meo Hospital by his tailor master (his teacher). A fact\u00a0finding team comprised on Ms. Nomee Coordinator CTS,\u00a0Mr. Suneel Karamat Field officer and Ms. Katherine Sapna\u00a0along with PCNP and CLAAS team members rushed to the\u00a0Meo Hospital Lahore to collect the reall facts of the case\u00a0and to see the condition of Nauman Masih (a young\u00a0Christian).<\/p>\n

\"Untitled2\"<\/a>The team reached at the Meo Hospital and met with the\u00a0concerned doctor. Dr. Shoaib an expert one who dealing\u00a0the case of Nauman Masih in emergency Unit. Doctor\u00a0informed the Team that Nauman was 55 % burn and it was\u00a0difficult to survive because his chest was severely injured.\u00a0CTS Team met Nauman in the ICU\/emergency unit.<\/p>\n

Team met with the helpless family members who were\u00a0alone in the hospital, and no one there to support them\u00a0morally. Asharaf Masih one of the parental uncles informed\u00a0that Nauman s\/o Rafaqat Masih lived his at Gulshan Ravi,\u00a060feet Road Shera Kot Lahore as his father Rafaqat Masih\u00a0died about three years ago due to disease, he was on\u00a0Kidney dialysis (a life-support). Meanwhile Nauman\u2019s young mother Shazia Bibi gets married to\u00a0a Muslim rich man. As she do not wanted to live with a sick man and not to care him. Later\u00a0Rafaqat Masih died. Nauman left alone either he has an elder sister (step sister) named Saba\u00a0Rafaqat, and she was married.<\/p>\n

Nadeem Masih and Ashraf Masih alias Ashiq (uncles) informed CTS that they are three brothers\u00a0and they love Nauman as their own children. They said Nauman was not school going. To make\u00a0him in-depended in future they sent him to Munir Masih a tailor Master in locality to learn\u00a0tailoring skills. Munir Masih was happy with an intelligent pupil and used to give him little\u00a0responsibilities as sending him to the market to do small things, like over locks of the stitched\u00a0cloths and also to buy some material for stitching.<\/p>\n

\"Untitled\"<\/a>On April 10, 2015 between 12: 30 to 1:00 PM Nauman\u00a0Masih went to the market for over lock the cloths. It was\u00a0Friday and Muslims were going to the mosques. On the\u00a0way to the market two unknown motorbike riders\u00a0stopped him and inquired about his religion, when he\u00a0said that he is a Christian, they started beating him\u00a0severely and later threw petrol on him and set him on\u00a0fire. Nauman\u2019s whole body burnt and he was\u00a0unconscious. The attackers escaped when they saw Nauman burning. The people in the market\u00a0rescued him and informed his master Munir Masih and his Uncle Nadeem Masih about the\u00a0incident, Munir rushed to the place and took Nauman to the Meo Hospital Lahore at about 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

\"Untitled9\"<\/a>The local police immediately get involved and the\u00a0Superintendent of Police (SP) personally visited Nauman\u00a0Masih in the hospital. Nauman Masih was in senses that\u00a0time and he recorded his statement and did the formal\u00a0investigation of the case. He informed the SP that two\u00a0unknown motorbike riders inquired him about his\u00a0belief\/religion, he was beaten severely because he is\u00a0Christian, later those cruel men threw petrol on Nauman\u00a0Masih and burn him in the market to show they hate and\u00a0cruelty for Christians in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Religious leaders including\u00a0Arch Bishop Sebastian Shaw, Fr. Samson Delawar etc and political members gathered in\u00a0solidarity with the victim\u2019s family and for the moral and all kind of support.<\/p>\n

Through support of CLAAS and CTS team the first\u00a0information report No: 308\/15 has been registered\u00a0under sections 324\/34 PPC against the unknown\u00a0upon the complaint of Nadeem Masih (parental\u00a0uncle of Nauman Masih). Mohammad Hussian the\u00a0Station House Officer (SHO) and Safdar Ali Incharge\u00a0Investigation Officer (I O) Police Station\u00a0Gulshan Ravi Lahore, were very cooperative. They\u00a0assured the team that police will do a fair\u00a0investigation as an innocent and young boy was\u00a0burnt. It does not matter what belief he has. IO\u00a0asked Mr. Francis that police would like to ask\u00a0guidance and help from him as CLAAS has\u00a0expertise in dealing these kinds of cases and\u00a0providing relief to the victims of intolerance. SHO\u00a0and Investigation officer also informed the team\u00a0that soon after the incident grandfather (maternal)\u00a0approached the local police station and filed a\u00a0complaint against parental uncles of Nauman\u00a0Masih that they burn Nauman to kill him as they\u00a0not willing to give him share in his father\u2019s property.<\/p>\n

Police also informed the team that they would have to investigate Nauman\u2019s parental and\u00a0maternal relatives. Police will also call inquiry of Munir Masih (tailor Master) which is an\u00a0important process. The team assured the victim\u2019s family for all kind of morally, financial and \"Untitled12\"free\u00a0Legal help in this case. The family was satisfied and thankful to the team for helping them in all\u00a0means and to be remained in prayers and solidarity.\u00a0Dear brothers and sister in Christ,
\nThere is a treat to all Christians for life especially in Lahore by radical Islamists outfits after the\u00a0incident of Youhanabad Churches on March 15, 2015 a month ago. As the angry Christian mob\u00a0killed two terrorists who were firing on the church to help their companion suicide bombers who\u00a0wanted to enter the church and kill maximum worshipers. Since the incident Christian youth in\u00a0Youhanabad get arrested by CIA police and tortured.<\/p>\n

The Punjab government declared those suspected terrorists innocent and ordered to get arrest\u00a0Christian boys in Youhanabad and neighbor areas Asif Town, Hamza Town and Nishtar Colony\u00a0and to punish them.<\/p>\n

Till the date about 70 innocent Christian has been sent to the judicial lock up. And more\u00a0than 200 Christian young boys still in CIA police custody. The mostly family members in\u00a0the families are arrested. Local shopkeepers did the social boycott and denied to supply\u00a0food and other basic needs, several are denied for work in the factories near\u00a0Youhanabad as they are Christians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police with the consult of Chief Minister Punjab has nominated more 100 people on April 8,\u00a02015 to get them arrested and investigated for the murder of two Muslims and burn them at the\u00a0occurrence place. The list has been given to the pastors and the church leaders for the possible\u00a0arrest of those listed. The other side individual Christians are attacked and killed by the\u00a0Muslims, like Nauman Masih a young Christian as they taking grudge for the killing to Muslims\u00a0during Youhanabad Incident.<\/p>\n

CTS team visiting those arrested Christians in the judicial lock up (prison) and providing them\u00a0basic needs\/supplies including towel, toothpaste, bath soap, hair oil, tooth brush and some\u00a0eatable things including bread, Jam, butter, cookies, cake, milk and tea bags.\u00a0Situation of Christians becoming worst in Pakistan, individual Christians are attacked like\u00a0Nauman Masih and secretly and killed. Christians in Punjab and other provinces are\u00a0disheartened because of the radical, cruel, Intolerance and injustice attitude of Chief Minister\u00a0Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.
\nThe team observed that on April 10, 2015 in the evening at about 6:00 pm there was news on\u00a0electronic media that Nauman Masih was burnt because of his Christian faith. But later the\u00a0same T V Channel said that the boy committed suicide as he was denied to give property share.
\nIt means that media hiding the real facts and the government do not want to highlight the\u00a0minority issues.\u00a0Nauman\u2019s family request prayers of all national and international church for complete healing\u00a0and life, being 55% burnt, Nauman is in critical situation.<\/p>\n
